Endodontic treatment, often referred to as root canal treatment, is a common dental procedure that saves infected or damaged teeth from having to be extracted. Successful treatment occurs in 90% of cases. The doctor will advise you if chances in your particular case are lower. This treatment, as with any medical or dental treatment, has no guarantee of success for any length of time. Often endodontic therapy is completed in one appointment, but sometimes two or three visits are necessary.
